Itinerary - CAIRO & MINI NILE CRUISE

A TASTE OF EGYPT

3 NIGHTS CAIRO (BB) + 5 NIGHTS NILE CRUISE WITH EXCURSIONS (FB).

DAY 1 - FRIDAY

Fly London Heathrow / Cairo with Egyptair.

Transfer to the Le Meridien Pyramids for a 3 night stay on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

DAY 4 - MONDAY

Fly Cairo / Luxor with Egyptair.

Transfer to the MS Royal Serenade.

Visit the East Bank to see the major sights of Luxor, including the Temples of Karnak and Luxor and Karnak's sacred lake.

Sail to Esna in the afternoon.

DAY 5 - TUESDAY

Start with an introduction to local life and culture, visiting the colourful market town of Esna and the Temple of Khnum.

Overnight on board at Kom Ombo.

DAY 6 - WEDNESDAY

A morning exploring the Temple of Kom Ombo which is uniquely dedicated to two gods, before continuing on to Aswan.

Visit the High Dam, the quarries of the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae situated on the river.

DAY 7 - THURSDAY

Explore the great rock-cut temple of Abu Simbel on today's optional tour (paid locally). Alternatively, spend a day relaxing in Aswan.

Spend the afternoon on a gentle felucca trip on the river, before sailing to Edfu.

DAY 8 - FRIDAY

Today visit the stunningly preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu.

Late afternoon, sail back to Luxor for the night.

DAY 9 - SATURDAY

Disembark after breakfast.

Fly Luxor / London Heathrow via Cairo with Egyptair.
