Itinerary - NILE CRUISE & LUXOR

SPLENDID EGYPT

4 NIGHTS NILE CRUISE (FB) + 3 NIGHTS LUXOR (BB).

Day 1

Fly from Gatwick or Manchester to Luxor. Upon arrival transfer to your deluxe Nile cruise boat for a four night cruise.

Day 2

Morning visit to the Valley of the Kings - the site of Tutankhamen's tomb, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Queens. Final stop of the day will be at the Colossi of Memnon before arriving back at the boat in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure whilst the boat sails to Edfu via the Esna lock.

Day 3

Morning visit to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the god Horus and the largest, most preserved temple in Egypt. Afternoon set sail for Aswan.

Day 4

Morning excursion to the High Dam, the Old Granite Quarries and the Unfinished Obelisk. There is also a trip by boat to the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and occupying a picturesque location on an island.

Day 5

Disembark. Depending on which option you book there is the possibility of an optional excursion to see the magnificent temples at Abu Simbel. The approximate costs of this additional trip by coach are £65 or by air £130 per person. Please advise at time of booking if you intend to take this option.

Transfer from Aswan by road to Luxor (approx 3 hours) for a 3 night stay.

Day 6

A half day trip to visit the Luxor and Karnak Temples is included. Afternoon at leisure, time to relax by the pool or to do some shopping.

Day 7

Today there is the opportunity to take an optional excursion by boat to see the lovely Denderah Temple.

Day 8

Morning at leisure. Late afternoon transfer to Luxor airport. Alternatively you could extend your stay in Egypt and spend a relaxing week by the sea in El Gouna.
